Dear Rugby League Fan,
Think Fan Engagement, who publish the annual Fan Engagement Index in English men’s football, have just put out a survey aimed at getting the views of Rugby League fans on rebranding, name changes, and the views of fans about their clubs and how they do and don’t involve or listen to them when making major decisions.
As a subscriber Love Rugby League, we wanted to flag this up as a really important initiative, and something we think every fan of a club in England and Wales (it’s not covering the two French clubs, because their initial focus is on English and Welsh clubs) should complete.

This is what Kevin Rye, Founder and Director of Think Fan Engagement, has to say about it:
"Rugby League is an important sport in the country’s life, and has passionate followers who are dedicated to the sport and to their clubs. In the year of the Rugby League World Cup, I think it’s a good moment to start trying to understand more about the views of those fans – particularly on issues like rebranding and identity changes to clubs, and how much they feel listened to.
"It’s vitally important that the role of fans in sustaining their sport is better recognised, and better understood. I’m really excited at the launch of the survey, and I urge as many fans to take part as possible."
You can take the survey below, or via www.tinyurl.com/RL-Fans-Survey
Thanks as always for your ongoing support of the site.
Kind regards,
James Gordon
Love Rugby League Editor
