Teaching Tips from The Carpentries Instructor Trainers
_______________________________________________________________________________

From Lex Nederbragt:

When teaching online, some platforms (such as Zoom) allow you to turn off your self-view, meaning you won't see your own video feed while still allowing all other participants to see it. It turns out doing this helps reduce the stress of online teaching (and online meetings). Imagine looking at yourself in a mirror the whole day!

I picked up this tip from this article: https://newatlas.com/telecommunications/zoom-fatigue-video-exhaustion-tips-help-stanford/ and I apply it consistently. I find it actually helps me be more relaxed in online teaching and video meetings!

The Incubator Lesson Spotlight
