Fun Wines for the Weekend!
l'Ormarine
"
Carte Noire"
2018

From the Picpoul de Pinet appellation of France this white wine is treat, especially in the kind of heat we have been experiencing lately. Made with 100% Piquepoul Blanc, this offers a light nose filled with citrus, followed by a dry palate with notes of lemon. It also features a bit of bright acidity as well as well balanced minerality, making it a prime choice to pair with dinner!

Weingut Gold
"
Pink Gold"
2020

Oh boy! It's German Pet-Nat! This is a tart, refreshing bubbly sensation derived from Trollinger. A fresh, juicy style of wine that will keep you coming back for more. Spontaneously fermented and naturally carbonated in the bottle, the wine features balanced minerality and a bit of bright acid. You'll notice bold notes of pink grapefruit, strawberries, cherries, and wild rose. This wine offers a lot especially in the face of the current heat wave. A perfect wine to chill down and bring outside.
Short Path Summer Gin

Ok, look. I know we've been plugging the gin a lot lately, but that's just because we have so many fun, new gins to play with! You may vaguely remember seeing this one before, it's been a long time but the ever popular Summer Gin from Short Path has returned. Made with blueberries along with juniper, orris root, coriander, lemongrass, lavender, and eucalyptus. This gin sports a bold purple color, however, don't let it fool you, there is no juice in this, it is not diluted in anyway. Blueberries are steeped in the gin for 10 days and then removed before the proofing process. This adds a lot of flavor without compromising the integrity of the spirit. All in all, a perfect gin to elevate your cocktails this summer.

Cheers!
