Library doors will open July 5th!!!
We're so excited to see you again!
Things will look a little different so here's what to expect:
- Limited library access only (no access to library shelves)
- Limit of 3 people at a time
- Masks will be required
- Physical distancing will be required
- One person at the service counter at a time
- Appointments will be required, please call ahead
- Library staff will sanitize between customers

Picking up items
- Contactless pick up indoors
- By appointment only
- Place requests using the library’s online Koha catalogue or by email or by phone 519-364-1420.
- See instructions on How to place holds on Koha
- Don’t have an online account set up? Call or email us to help you.
- Outdoor curbside service will still be available by request
Not sure what to request? Ask us for a GRAB BAG. Let us know by phone or email what you want, for example 3 Western novels, books on art and painting, or 5 picture books and we’ll pick a selection for you.

See and choose items to borrow
- Arrange in advance to see a limited selection of material before you borrow
- Topics, themes or types of materials can be pre-selected by library staff
- You may choose from the pre loaded selections
- Small selections may be pulled on demand
- Items not chosen will be sanitized and quarantined before being reshelved

Returning borrowed items
- Please use the exterior library drop box beside the West (10th Avenue) entrance
- Returns can also be placed in the drop box at the front service counter
- Please do not hand returns to staff
- All library materials will be sanitized and quarantined for a minimum of 72 hours. Staff will observe all necessary safety precautions in handling materials

Computers available by request
- One computer workstation will be available by appointment
- You must book an appointment in advance
- Appointments will be limited to 45 minutes
- Appointments can be booked by phone or email
- Computer workstation will be sanitized between appointments

Printing, Copying and other courtesy services
- Use Pinch to remotely print in advance then pick up by appointment
- Learn how remote printing works
- Photocopying, faxing and scan to email services
- Purchase bag tags, pick up maps, tourist information, obituary research
- Pickup of council packages – by prior arrangement to prepare a copy
- Please call ahead of your visit

Summer Reading Challenge for Adults
Through Time in 6 Books
Summer reading clubs aren't just for kids! Challenge yourself to read 6 books from now until September. The theme is “Through Time in 6 Books”.
- Call or email the library to register yourself and get your booklist and passport
- The book list has fiction and non-fiction titles that take place in 6 time periods, from prehistory to modern times and the future.
- Select one book from each category to borrow and read, then get a stamp in your booklet.
- Once you’ve read your six books, hand in your booklet to be entered in a draw to win Chamber Bucks!
Chamber Bucks can be spent like cash at any of over 50 Hanover shops and services.
