Every campaign, this has been the most important day, when it usually seems we are impossibly short of our campaign goal and yet an amazing flood of supporters often responds with last-minute gifts that bring us up to or even past our campaign goal.
We never take it for granted that will happen but hope and pray that it will because of the urgent need.
We still need to raise more funds to meet our goal and cover the upfront costs associated with detaching from Big Tech and expanding our own, fully independent infrastructure for reporting the news.
As we have mentioned a number of times, and as we are sure you are aware, huge challenges lie ahead for us this year - many of which we probably cannot yet imagine. Big Tech is pouring hundreds of millions into silencing the truth – especially as it pertains to life, family, faith, and our basic freedoms.
We urgently need to hire more competent staff for all LifeSite departments because of news developments that keep exploding beyond what we have been expecting. Every morning, we are finding we don’t have enough journalists, video people, marketing people to skillfully get our articles past the tech censors, high-level tech people to deal with sophisticated attacks on our website and to develop much-needed new website features, and on and on.
There is no such thing as a dull day for the LifeSite team of 55 competent, dedicated, and spiritually grounded special individuals, plus many support services personnel whom we regularly contract with.
