SUMMER WORSHIP

We are joining together with four other congregations for our summer services. Each week, one of the congregations will host. What a great way for us to experience a diversity of styles and to make friends across southern Ontario!
Each week we'll begin at 10:30am, and a time for conversation in small groups will follow.
Note that the link to join is different than our usual link. Information will be posted on our website and here in the Flame each week as usual.

NOTE these summertime changes: 
Sunday services will begin at 10:30am, AND the link to join is not the ‘usual’ one. 

We are promise makers…covenants, principles, aspirations, affirmations…and all of them call us into relationships of accountability. 
Given the proposal to adopt an 8th principle, how might we consider what our principles have to do with our relationships!?!

This service will be UFP’s first foray into the dual-platform service experiment, and we invite all into the fun and learning that comes with doing what is ‘good enough for now, and safe enough to fail’.

Religious Exploration:  Sunday morning programming is discontinued for the summer. We continue to meet for games nights Wednesdays at 7pm. We are exploring options for summer in-person gatherings. See This Month in RE for more.

TRUNK SALE POSTPONED 

We've determined that it's a little too early for our parking lot trunk sale. We're going to wait until Step 3 of re-opening, and will announce a new date soon. Do continue to collect items you'd like to recycle in a circular local economy!


CONNECTING CIRCLES

Connecting Circles meet about twice monthly for an hour of sharing and mutual support. Some groups are continuing to meet over the summer.

GARDENING ANGELS

Thanks to Donna, Don, Linda B, Steph, and Sephira for their gardening efforts this week. Thanks to them, the UFP/BIC grounds look wonderful again! 
 

SYRIAN TEENS SEEK OUTDOOR WORK

Yousef and Suleman, the teenage sons of the Al Mubarak family who our Refugee Sponsorship Team helped to settle in 2020, are available to help with any yard work  and lawn mowing on weekdays at 4 pm and Saturdays and Sundays.

WEEKLY WALKING BUDDIES

Ontario's Step One toward reopening allows for up to 10 people to gather socially outside. If you're looking for a walking buddy, or buddies, add your name, or reach out to someone HERE.

We have a variety of grocery, gas and retail cards available for sale!! Orders are being processed for delivery or pickup on Monday, July 12. As always, proceeds from sales directly benefit the Fellowship.
