Dear Kol Haskalah community,
We did it! One more year, a great year of Sunday School classes. It was certainly different from other years, but we did find ways to keep learning and connected. A few highlights I want to share with you:
- We had a Zoom meeting every month, and we covered our Jewish Holidays, always connecting what we celebrated with learning and mitzvot (good deeds).
- Kahoot was a new, trendy way to have fun and learn at the same time. For the ones that do not know, Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform that makes it easy to create, share and play learning games or trivia quizzes in minutes.
- We had a virtual lighting ceremony for Hanukkah, where some of our students shared their talents in music and reading!
- Sarah Shapiro conducted the Mitzvah class completely virtually this year with six students.
- Mazel tov to Suzanne and Ofer Lehavot, on the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter, Naomi! Congratulations, Naomi, on reaching this important milestone in your life! We're looking forward to more Mitzvah celebrations in the coming year.
I am looking forward to starting a new fresh year, seeing all the old faces and new faces, ready to learn, play, and enjoy our fantastic Jewishness in Kol Haskalah!
Shalom,
Andrea Lutri
