Current Sunday Morning Series and Message from our Pastor
|
|
"As we walk through the book of Jonah, I hope that as you see God's relentless grace in Jonah's life, it leads you to respond to Him with obedience. God is pursuing you and I pray that you personally experience His grace and mercy in your life, as we realize how broken we are and how much we need Jesus. We have been singing the song "Lord, I Need You" in church. What a powerful prayer and declaration that can help us to become more dependent on him. When we focus on him, we become more in tune with God's great rescue mission and can't help but share Jesus with others". -Pastor Brian

This Sunday, July 11th, following our 10am service, we are planning to do our first “Lunch on the Lawn!” The Church will provide meat on the grill and drinks, and ask that participating families bring a side dish or a dessert to share. We are planning to have a children's games, face painting and cornhole. Our goal is to provide a time to connect with one another and build relationships within the body of Christ. Invite your friends!
Mark your calendars for our other Lunch on the Lawn dates (August 8th and September 12th).

Praise God for the opportunity to be out in our community during the Sussex Project - a week long effort where approximately 40 people from Baleville served 13 different families. God used the Sussex Project to open our eyes to the needs right around us. We were able to meet physical needs in order to share the hope of Jesus, who met our deepest spiritual need by going to the cross.
Please read how this project impacted a couple people within the Baleville family. When asked how God was at work, they both responded with how they were impacted and what thoughts came to mind. Mike shares his initial thoughts going into the Sussex Project and how God helped him to see needs in a different way. We are called to respond with mercy, because God was so merciful to us in sending Jesus. Bill speaks of the ongoing opportunity to reach out to those God brought into our lives as we think about how this one week in June 2021 is supposed to effect the other 51 weeks of the year.

"When asked to lend my support and labor, I saw the project as a simple work /help /reward project. How wrong could I have been! This project caused me to look deep inside at my blessings and shortcomings. It has been said the Lord can use a scalpel or a hammer to change hearts; for me the hammer worked.
I saw people who at first I thought should help themselves, not understanding how many folds their lives had taken and where they had come from. The Lord said I desire MERCY!.
I saw people with material things I might not even be able to afford. The Lord said JUDGEMENT is mine alone.
I walked on a roof to be repaired and as I hammered the shingles in I asked myself , Am i being taken advantage of ? The lord said ,all I ask is to do JUSTICE, love KINDNESS and walk HUMBLY with ME Years of education and teaching in 1 week. I learned more than I could ever have given. What a blessing! AMEN" -Mike Brucker

"Our Sussex Outreach Project allowed us to plant seeds in Christ’s name at 13 different locations. These seeds need to be nurtured in an ongoing effort to reach out to these families and keep them growing in Jesus word. Invite them to church and family functions and keep their eyes and hearts open to knowing our Lord Jesus."
Though it is the smallest of seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches. Matthew 13:32 -Bill Ruddy

Thank you to those who served, prayed and contributed financially. God provided above and beyond, and with that abundance we are able to now look into other ways we can bless our community in the coming months!

Sunday, June 13th was a great day as we celebrated Pastor Brian's installation and followed it with a church picnic at Hampton Twp. Park. It was such a blessing to see so many families come out for fellowship together. We enjoyed delicious food, a family kickball game, cornhole tournament, face painting, cookie decorating (Thank you, Stephanie Biron!), and a last minute addition of snow cones (Thank you, Kevin Lopez!). Also, a big thanks to Gail Leypoldt for all her work to make it happen!

How To Share Your Faith With Others
|
|
God has called us to share Jesus with a world in need. We wanted to provide you with some tools to help you share your faith. These tools (tracts, booklets, Gospel of John, etc) are located at the table in the back (next to the Bibles). Please pray for those you know that need to hear about Jesus and share the good news with them! Please let Pastor Brian know if you have any questions or you would like to know more about how to share your faith.

Children's Church
We need about 4 more people to be helpers during Children's Church. You would be on a 4-5 week rotation with no preparation needed! Just show up and be a part of showing kids how much Jesus loves them!

Sound System
We are looking for a few people to help run the sound booth on Sunday mornings. No experience necessary, but any you might have would be helpful!
