Renovation Update
We are happy to report that lots of progress has been made in the first 3 weeks! The demolition portion of the work is almost done, and work on the HVAC and electrical has already begun. The entire project will take approximately 7 months, so right now we anticipate we will reopen in January 2022.

While the main library is closed, we are operating a mini library branch out of the Library Annex. Our Annex Branch hours are Monday through Saturday 10am - 6pm. We have new and popular books & DVDs to browse, staff to help you find what you need, and all of your holds available for pickup. While the full collection isn't available for you to browse in person, we will be able to access what you need and pull it from storage. And you can continue to request items from other Coastline libraries, as you always have.

We also have a computer lab operating out of the Annex's conference room with black and white printing available. Computer use is by appointment only. Call us at 541-469-7738 to set up an appointment.

The book return slot outside the library is open and will remain open for returns throughout the renovation. So you can return items there, or bring them into the Annex branch during open hours.

For questions about the renovation, contact Director Julie Retherford at julie@chetcolibrary.org.

Summer Reading

GOLDEN TICKET YOUTH AND ADULT READING CHALLENGE CARDS

Youth Golden Ticket Challenge Cards will be included in each week's Summer Youth Activity Bags (see challenge examples in photo).

Adult Golden Ticket Challenge Cards can be picked up during open hours at the Library Annex. Adult challenges are similar to what we've included on our Reading BINGO cards in prior years such as Read a Mystery, Read a Staff Pick, Read a book by a Female Author, etc.

Scratch off the golden windows to reveal your three reading challenges.  Complete the challenges, write your name and contact information on the back of the card, and return the card to the library to be entered into prize drawings.  Every time you turn in a Golden Ticket Reading Challenge card, your name will be entered into prize drawings!
Youth prize drawings will be held on August 16. Turn in your cards by August 15th to be included. There will be many prizes: puzzles, games, camp chairs, sporting equipment, books, and more!

Adult Prize drawings will be held at the end of July and the end of August. Turn in your completed cards before the end of each month to be included. Each month's winner will get a big prize bag full of gifts!
