Welcome back to Sunday Mass:
If you are not vaccinated or
are under the age of 16 please wear a mask when you come to
church. Hand sanitizer is available at the doors and during the
sign of peace only have physical contact with people in your own
family. Please acknowledge other with a wave, bow or other
gesture.
Over the last hundred years, the Roman Catholic Church has
retrieved an ancient insight that there are no spectators at
liturgy, no innocent bystanders. You are essential to the
celebration. When the priest presiding at Eucharist calls out 'Lift
up your hearts!' his words are Christ’s words, addressed to you.
No one else can lift up your heart on your behalf. When we are
together as the Church, even on those days when you are
discouraged or confused, you may well find your heart rising in
Christ to praise the unfailing love of the Creator.

Prendergast) by Jim Field (December 23, 1950 – July 12, 2010)
