RevoLOOtion: An Original Interactive Production for the Community & New Collaborations (29 Apr – 1 May, 7 May)

ITI invited members of the arts community to the first final year production of the 2021 graduating cohort, RevoLOOtion. The performance-cum-workshop was devised by the graduating cohort under veteran theatre practitioner Li Xie’s direction.

As part of the production, ITI collaborated with ITE College Central’s School of Design & Media’s Performance Production course, where students gained industry experience from the production team. The World Toilet Organisation was also involved as a publicity partner for RevoLOOtion — raising awareness about the importance of sanitation through the event's publicity.

Audience members described RevoLOOtion as “a smart show that is entertaining and thought-provoking [with] a brilliant bunch of graduating ITI students" and "a strong performance". More reactions can be read here.

“Ultimately, RevoLOOtion goes to show that ITI is willing to take creativity one step further, leaping into risky performances that involve the audience with no guaranteed outcome. This serves as a refreshing reminder of the impact theatre can have and the importance of retaining our local art spaces...”
