Walk-in Covid vaccination clinics
There are walk-in Covid vaccination clinics across Hertfordshire this weekend and throughout the coming week. These are offering first and second doses (for anyone who had their first dose 8 weeks or more before). There's no need to book, no ID required and you don't need to be registered with a GP.

West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust: Application for teaching hospital status
"I am writing to inform you that we have begun the process of applying for teaching hospital status in recognition of our wide and well-renowned role in educating doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
We are working on our application and portfolio of evidence to support a change to our Establishment Order to become West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. We will submit this to the Department of Health and Social Care this summer who will effect the change once approved by ministers.
We want to ensure that the change in our name to West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (or possibly a shorter variation of this) will not conflict with or be confused with the names of our neighbouring NHS organisations or services so please let us know as soon as possible if you anticipate any issues.
Teams and individuals from multiple disciplines across our hospitals have worked hard over many years to enable us to reach this point and achieve these high standards. Teaching hospital status will bring significant benefits to our patients, the trust and our local communities and will help further develop our education, training and research.
We hope you agree that this is an important and exciting next step. Please do get in touch if you have any questions or concerns about this change to our status."

Community health and wellbeing Level 3 apprenticeship standard: demand scoping for employers
Public Health England is working with a Trailblazer group of employers to develop a Community Health and Wellbeing Worker apprenticeship at level 3, which we are hoping will be approved for delivery this summer (2021).
