Weekly Update, July 16, 2021
Dear Friends,
Sometimes blessings come only in certain seasons.  Black raspberry season, which is one of my favorites, is just ending.  I love black raspberry season so much that last year I purchased extra black raspberries to freeze, so that I could experience a taste of summer all year long.  But then in November when I defrosted some of those delicious little berries, intending to bake a pie, something just wasn’t right.  Oh, the pie tasted fine, but somehow it was different experiencing it in November instead of July.
Sometimes I think we hold onto our blessings a little too tightly when God asks us to share them, to bless others the way we have been blessed.  “Money, pardon the expression, is like manure. It's not worth a thing unless it's spread around, encouraging young things to grow.” That’s a line from the musical Hello, Dolly! and it always makes me laugh.  But there’s also a lot of truth in it.
The same can be said for our blessings.  They come to us at the right time, and in due season we share them with others so that they might be encouraged to grow.  I’ve been enjoying the black raspberries the past couple of weeks, but the season is almost over and new blessings are on the way to be sure.
                                                                                    Peace,
                                                                                    Tony

- In Sunday School they told us what you do. Who does it when you are on vacation?
- Is it true my father won't get into Heaven if he uses his bowling words in the house?
- Did you mean for a giraffe to look like that or was it an accident?
- I like the Lord's Prayer best of all. Did you have to write it a lot or did you get it right the first time?
- Did they really talk that fancy in Bible times?
- Why are all the things you said in red?
- Is Rev. Coe a friend of yours or do you just know him through the business?
- Do animals get to use you too or is there someone else for them?
- Please send Dennis Clark to a different camp this year.
- I read the Bible. What does begat mean? Nobody will tell me.
