There is a new voice on the phone lines here at KSRA! Heidi, who came from the Sycamore Park District to join us in the Administrative Assistant position in January, had her last day with KSRA on Friday, June 18. She was an amazing help around the office, especially when it came to our first Golf Outing. If you ask Heidi what the best part of the Golf Outing was, she would tell you running the Booze Pull Game. There were a lot of laughs watching people try to find the Disney golf balls to win! She was also part of the Staff Favorite Things basket, and her prize won a lot of tickets! Heidi was always willing to go the extra mile to support KSRA staff and programs, and she will be missed. She is preparing to relocate with her husband to sunny Florida. We wish her the best in the move and beginning the next adventure in her life!
We welcome Patricia (Pat) to the KSRA team! Pat is joining us from years of experience at NIU in the College of Business as their Office Manager/Program Assistant. Pat and her husband are locals, surrounded by many of their kids and grandkids. She has already jumped into a few of the projects we have coming up: one being the migration to our new registration software in Fall. Pat has even started joining brainstorming stages for our next fun fundraiser for the Fall. We look forward to Pat leading our office and ensuring the best service to our families.
More exciting happenings here at KSRA! We are at the very beginning stages of Strategic Plan development for the future of KSRA. The KSRA Board approved the hiring of a consultant to work with staff, board, families, and community partners to establish a plan moving KSRA forward. Many families will be invited to be a part of the plan through meetings, both in person and via Zoom, along with participating in surveys. KSRA staff and Board want to hear from those we have served and those we continue to serve. KSRA is working with Blue Pontoon's Lisa-Ann. Staff and Lisa-Ann have our first meeting this week to create a plan of action!
