We are about to finish up with a wonderful book by Rod Dreher "The Benedict Option, a strategy for Christians in a post-Christian nation."
Our next book will be "The Religion of the Apostles" by Fr Stephen De Young.

We meet via Google Meet, reply to this email to get the meeting link.
We must strive after a quiet mind. As an eye cannot ascertain an object clearly if it wanders restlessly up and down and sideways - without fixing a steady gaze upon it - so the mind distracted by a thousand worldly cares is unable clearly to apprehend the truth.
- Saint Basil the Great
July 7 - the Nativity of Saint John the Forerunner and Baptist of Jesus Christ - is the patronal feastday of our parish. The feast will begin with Great Vespers on July 6 at 7pm, and continued with Liturgy on July 7 at 9am, followed by a potluck fellowship.
Invite your family and friends and come to celebrate the main feast of our parish.
And bring something for the potluck table. Signup sheet with suggestions for the potluck is posted downstairs in the church. Remember, the feast falls during the Apostles' Fast.
LOOKING FOR A CAREGIVER
One of our elderly parishioners is in need of a relief caregiver. She already has a primary caregiver, but she needs someone to help out on days off.
If you are interested or know someone who might be, please respond to this email.

Another great podcast episode on the proper education our children need.

Dr. Jenkins sits down in-studio with John Heitzenrater, the new headmaster of
St. Constantine School of Lehigh Valley to speak about what the new school will be like both as regards nut-and-bolts, but also the vision of what this means in the lives of our children, and in the life of the Church. And topics such as the value of writing in an age of texting, the responsibility of parents, the environment of education, and deer hunting are also discussed!
