MacEng Insight: June 2021

June is a time of celebration and reflection at McMaster Engineering.

On June 18, we recognized the Class of 2021 with a virtual convocation ceremony. You can read about five of our outstanding graduates in a Q&A on their undergraduate experiences and what their plans are after graduation.

Our researchers continue to make an impact with the launch of iHub, an integrated automotive, aerospace and advanced manufacturing network, led by five McMaster Engineering researchers. I’m also excited to share that 14 faculty members earned NSERC awards through the Discovery research program, Research Tools and Instruments grants program (RTI) and Joint Canada-Germany Projects.

We held three successful Return to MacEng Information sessions for faculty, staff and students this month. During the sessions, questions about the transition back to Mac were answered by representatives from our Return to MacEng Task Force, who also presented findings from two reports on recommendations to help steer us through this transition.

I hope you enjoy your summer.

Best Wishes,
