Now for real.... the winners are...
Eh... before we announce them, do you remember Kolton? He is one of the winners and BE went to deliver the first t-shirt in person! Here is a photo of a completely happy Kolton in his new Alinker t-shirt. It was so lovely to see him again, have coffee and hear him spell the longest words, share about his virtual school experiences and much more. He's an amazing kid and we love him!

BE's call to action
To all my non Indigenous friends and beyond….
These are not numbers that are released…. these numbers reflect a genocide… and all the young lives, no numbers, lives taken…
over and over, more numbers will come out… reflecting known truths… in numbers… but see beyond the numbers… and feel
and know, this is not history, thousands of children died, and many thousands of survivors are still alive and still face the denial and ignorance that retraumatizes so hard...
Indigenous people are mourning, and we are mourning, Indigenous people are not the "other" people, we are all humans on this mother earth, their children are children of this world. We as humanity, have lost these children.
The grief is deep and it would be deeply disrespectful and insulting to celebrate something like Canada day, 1st July is the anniversary of the Canadian confederation in 1867, so together with a growing call around Canada, I call to #cancelcanadaday
On the 1st July (and all other days of the year) we are honouring Indigenous people, values and culture by supporting Indigenous businesses on our essence page and join us
