Thanks to Johanna Bernu for sharing her experiences of conducting research on the disinfectant properties of water lilies using Ojibwe knowledge alongside euro-centric scientific processes from her home with the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa in Minnesota. Also thanks to the Lutheran Alliance for Faith, Science and Technology and Loni Taylor from the The Chippewa Cree Tribe of Rocky Boy in Montana for sharing her perspective in this piece (click) regarding the intersection of her faith and profession as an EMT.
