The CCEC motto is “To make a difference in your community, Just Start With Hello!”
Seven years ago, I sat down next to a familiar face in a room filled with unfamiliar people. That was the day I met Angela Mason and since that time she has helped me to remember our mission, our motto, and our true purpose within community. The CCEC family mourns the loss but celebrates the beautiful life of Angela Mason: her words of encouragement, advocacy, and volunteerism will never be forgotten.
What’s happening in July?
Summer Feeding CCEC continues to provide 7day meal packages for 50 families each week. Meals can be picked up at 8540 Spruce St. New Orleans La. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11am.
Saturday Youth Experience Every Saturday Youth are welcome to visit CCEC 10-2pm. We offer youth yoga, art, golf lessons and tap dancing, all free of charge. Throughout each Saturday youth discuss COVID safety tips and adjusting to challenges of living through COVID. Parents must sign an application form for all youth. We look forward to seeing you.
Adult Fitness CCEC offers a free low impact workout every Tuesday and Thursday at 11AM. All adults are welcome.
Upcoming Community Conversations – July 22, 2021 welcomes School Board Representative Carlos Zervigon Come out to hear what Mr. Zervigon has to say as we prepare to send our youth back into the world of school based learning. The conversation begins at 11AM.4
School S upply Giveaway – Saturday July 24, 2021 10:00-12:00 (Until supplies last) Basic school supplies will be given away to school age youth at no cost or obligation.
