Welcome to our July newsletter. Wimbledon is back on our screens, and we're hearing reports that football may be coming home... Lots to enjoy for sports fans (or at least, lots of distractions from household duties!). Away from the sport, there's plenty going on at Brompton Fountain too. We're preparing for another webinar which you can read more about below. And, weather permitting, we're continuing our workshops in the hospital courtyard on Wednesday afternoons. Plus information on our 2022 calendar and the latest from our amazing fundraisers. Have a great month!
Mental Health & Wellbeing Webinar
The next webinar in our series will be on Thursday 15th July @ 7pm. RBH's Paediatric Clinical Psychology Team will be leading the session, explaining what you can do to take care of yourself (and your children), particularly in the build-up to and during hospital visits.

This will be an interactive session, so those who are comfortable sharing their own experiences and what has helped them will have an opportunity to share with their group. The Psychology team will also explore some of the common themes they encounter when talking to patients, and give ideas on how to cope with highly stressful situations.

As ever, we are hugely grateful to the presenters giving up their evening to talk with us and answer questions.

Courtyard Workshops @ RBH

These workshops are for in-patients only as the hospital is still restricting visitors.

On Wednesday afternoons, we are holding workshops in the hospital courtyard at Royal Brompton. This is a chance for children and parents on the ward to get some fresh air, and do something a little bit different. Here's a look ahead to some of the workshops we have planned:
  • Wed 7th July - Making Bracelets
  • Wed 14th July - Making Model Dinosaurs
  • Wed 21st July - Paint Your Own Plate
We look forward to seeing some of you there!

Trudy Elected To GSTT
Council Of Governors
We were delighted to hear the results of the recent election for the Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust Council of Governors: our very own Trudy Nickels, CEO of The Brompton Fountain, was elected which means that the charity now has representation at the highest level of the Trust.

We invite all of our supporters to register as members with the Trust, allowing you access to members-only events, regular hospital updates via the Connect newsletter, and of course the opportunity to vote in future elections.
