It's difficult to describe the feeling when an absolute legend of your sport offers such kind words about a book you've written. When I was a young Division I wrestler, the story of Dan Gable as an athlete and as a coach was a source of inspiration to all of us. 30+ years later, his legend and impact on the sport have only grown.
So how does it feel to have your book noticed by a living legend? The best way I can describe it, is as a mix of feeling both humbled and grateful at the same moment.

June 1st marked the launch of NeuroRounds: Virtual Case Conferences in Neurosurgery
NeuroRounds is an educational, medical webinar where neurosurgical cases are presented, diagnostic imaging is reviewed, and key facts are discussed. As many of you know, I'm a huge believer in the power of wresting to make a difference in the lives of young people. As a result, I was honored to become one of the co-founders of Trenton Youth Wrestling.
Late last year, at the height of the COVID crisis in America, the leadership of Trenton Youth Wrestling took the hard decision that it would not be prudent to try to carry on with a regular wrestling season. To say we were disappointed is an understatement.
Over the next months. we focused on virtual teaching and training. In doing so we attempted to better influence club member diet, choices of reading and screen time and ultimately develop a closer relationship with our wrestlers and their families. We continued to concentrate on our core mission. Thank you to everyone who helped us through this difficult period.
