Summer Reading Club fun for kids & teens starts now!

Sign up for a summer of fun!

Registration is now open for the Hanover Library’s Summer Reading Club. Be sure to register your children and track their reading to be entered into weekly draws!

This program was created to help combat the 'summer slide'. A regression in academic proficiency that can occur due to kids being out of school and away from any formal education over the summer months. It is a super fun way to keep kids motivated and engage your children or grandchildren in reading. There are print materials available for pick up by appointment at the Library, as well as a website for children to access. The materials help support fun, engaging learning throughout the summer with different challenges, goal setting, jokes, games, and access to free e-books with no holds or waiting.

Each week your child can check in, to update us on how their reading went that week. By checking in, they will be entered into prize draws and can add their name to our visual display of accomplishment in the library windows!

The Hanover Library summer team will also be offering lots of exciting programming all summer including Story Times, Craft Bags, and A Story Walk!

Let us know if we can help with setting goals or selecting books. We are here to help 😊 It's going to be an exciting fun-filled summer 2021!

Not sure what to request? Ask us for a GRAB BAG. Let us know by phone or email what you want, for example 3 Western novels, books on Lawn Care and Growing Annuals, or 5 Picture Books and we’ll pick a selection for you.

Pickup is by appointment only. Pickup times will be arranged in advance by library staff or through our online booking system Appointlet.
