 Holtzhower Accepts Call to Serve
The Rev. Kyle Holtzhower, who currently serves as the Assistant Rector for Discipleship at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Mt. Pleasant, has accepted a call to be the next Rector of Christ-St. Paul’s, Yonges Island. Kyle was ordained an Anglican priest in 2018, following seven years of active ministry in the Charlotte area. He served six years in the Air Force prior to pursuing his college education. He and his wife Kortney have a daughter (Scotlyn, 3½) and a son (Banner, 11 months). Kyle will start on Monday, August 2. In a note to the congregation, the Senior Warden and Chair of the Search Committee wrote, “The Vestry was unanimous in accepting the recommendation from the Search Committee, who was also unanimous in recommending Fr. Kyle. This brings to a conclusion an extensive 11-month search process and discernment. We look forward to our future with great anticipation, having faith in our loving God.”

St. Thomas’ STAC House Shows Featured in New TV Series

Tune in to AXS TV July 7 at 6:30 p.m. to see the season premiere of “If These Walls Could Rock,” a new series featuring musical performances in historically significant venues along with conversations surrounding the history and meaning of the venue in which the artists perform. In the opening show, July 7, Performer Ty Taylor reflects on his experience performing at the Old Brick Church in conversation with the Rev. Hamilton Smith (Rector of St. Thomas, Mt. Pleasant) and the musical duo Finnegan Bell (Shane Williams and Warren Bazemore) which leads worship at St. Thomas. The connection was made through the STAC House shows, the critically acclaimed songwriter series hosted by St. Thomas which Finnegan Bell created and curates.

The PGW Production Team is excited to welcome everyone to the 2021 Tours of Historic Plantations and Homes! When the difficult decision was made to cancel the tours for the second year in a row due to COVID-19, they began brainstorming ways to still celebrate this unique event that has brought so much joy to their community over the years. The 2021 Tours of Historic Plantations and Homes have been reimagined as a short film virtual tour that highlights a few of the properties in ways never seen before. This virtual tour is filled with breathtaking views, historical information, and familiar faces. Come for a weekend retreat of rest, prayer, scripture meditation, beach time, walking and listening to God in the company of others. A portion of Saturday will be in silence. Holy Communion is offered on Sunday. Cost $300 (individual room), including all meals from Friday dinner to Sunday breakfast. John Yates, Sr.; Faith in the Home
John Yates, Sr. will speak in a simulcast to men's groups in all diocesan churches on Faith in the Home and he will set the stage as our 2022 Christian Men's Conference speaker. This will also be a time of prayer for families, praise worship, testimonies, and small group discussion. Summit time is from 8:30 am to 12 noon, Saturday, October 9.

Saint Michael’s Church is seeking a full-time Receptionist and Information Specialist (RIS) to serve as the rector’s representative for receiving phone calls and office visits to include the triage as needed to redirect the same to the appropriate and responsible clergy or staff personnel. The RIS manages and updates the planning schedule and calendar to include the tracking of all Paid Time Off planned and taken. The RIS supports and reports to the Director of Communications. People News
 Ryan Pagels has accepted a call to serve as the Director of Traditional Music Ministries and organist at Church of the Holy Cross on the Sullivan's Island campus. In a note to the congregation, Rector, Chris Warner wrote, "Ryan is a man of faith who has served the Lord through traditional worship in the Baptist, Methodist, Episcopal and Presbyterian churches. In addition to the organ, he is a conductor, composer, vocalist, voice coach, and pianist. Beyond his church ministry, he recently served as Assistant Artistic Director of the Cumberland Choral Arts in Fayetteville NC, as well as Collaborative Pianist at Methodist University. He has also performed as a guest soloist in organ and harpsichord with the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra. I'm very much looking forward to how God will use Ryan to shape and build our Traditional Music ministries. We will be working together to grow the choir, re-launch our children's choir, as well as to increase creativity and traditional music and worship offerings at Holy Cross. Ryan's first Sunday leading will on July 4th."
