We cannot believe in just 16 days, we will joyfully gather with 250 beloved supporters at the return of our annual sustaining fundraiser, the SPUR Summer Fling. We invite you to secure one of the final tickets and join us for small bites, live music, silent auction, and purposeful reconnecting on Saturday, July 17, from 6:30 to 9:30.

The success of the evening is even more critical after the past 15 months. Annually, the Fling is an opportunity to strengthen the foundation of all things that happen here at SPUR — the unsexy, but imperative, behind-the-scenes business that enables our organization to exist. Your investment in our infrastructure directly determines our impact.

The funds raised at the Fling are vital to the success of all of SPUR's programs. It helps us to bridge gaps during our annual drives and respond to critical and changing needs in our local communities. Your giving helps support the success of programs like these:

Volunteers weed, water, and harvest daily during the growing season in the SPUR Community Roots Garden to provide over 900 pounds of vegetables, fruit, and herbs each year to suppport local food pantries and neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

SPUR volunteers have prepared and served over 10,000 meals for neighbors experiencing food insecurity through our regular meal services at area shelters.

Through the SPUR Holiday Cheer Drive, we've provided 3,032 Bundles of Cheer full of winter essentials and meaningful gifts to local children, as well as adults experiencing homelessness over the last 6 years.

Through our partnership with Shubie's, we've rescued over 3,000 pounds of prepared food that would otherwise end up in a landfill and delivered it to residential social service providers.
