“Incomplete” by Dalena Tran

A fantastic experimental project by media artist Dalena Tran. Set to music by Ash Koosha, “Incomplete” pays homage to what artist and media theorist Hito Steyerl referred to as the ‘poor image.’ That is, an image which is collected, copied and processed to the point of disorientation and anonymity. The image is not one but consists of many while still maintaining a contour of coherency. We’ve seen a lot of people experimenting with Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) but the visuals with the music here feel quite poetic almost spiritual.
