The Shelter SA Aboriginal Cultural Advisory Panel invites you to an online meeting to discuss the South Australian Aboriginal Housing Strategy. We are excited to let you know that Erin Woolford, Head of Aboriginal Housing, South Australian Housing Authority, will provide us with an overview and update on the Strategy. We will also make time to hear about the latest housing and homelessness issues as they are being experienced on the ground.
The event is free to attend but numbers are limited and you MUST REGISTER, then you'll receive a link to join us via Zoom on 27 July at 10am.
Everyone is welcome, but we encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, who are working in the housing and homelessness sectors in South Australia to attend. The event will be recorded and the video will be available online at a later date. Please share with your colleagues and friends!

A reminder that it's time to renew your membership with Shelter SA or become a new member! All are welcome and we encourage organisations that don't have charitable status to join us as associate members if they support our objectives. Please complete a membership application and get it back to us to get the ball rolling. Our members are important to our housing system policy and advocacy work!

The National NAIDOC Theme for 2021 is Heal Country! NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week is celebrated by all Australians and is a great opportunity to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We are walking for the first time! Please feel free to join the Shelter SA team and please donate if you can by sponsoring our Executive Director, Alice or Shelter SA to show your support for the Hutt Street Centre! We'll be taking to the streets on 4 August, during Homelessness Week, starting from Parliament House on North Terrace at 12.30pm and walking to the Hutt Street Centre.
