Youth Support to 24 hour row for mental health
The Sorrento Boaties are participating in the 24 hour row for mental health on 14^th -15^th  August.  It would be great if we can get a Youth contingent to support this for a block of time.  If you are interested in joining in please drop me an email at greg.belmont@gmail.com or grab me at the Club.
 
Barista and Bar Staff
The club is looking for Barista and bar staff.  The Barista opportunity may suit youth who are looking for a part time job on a Saturday and Sunday morning.  If you are interested, there is are more details on the Sorrento SLSC – Youth Development Facebook page
 
Youth Ski Program
Congratulations Harriet & Kai for taking out the win in Race #3 of the Development Ski Squad Winter Series. Awesome to see 11 Youth tackle the 5.7km course. Well done all!! Thank you also to Leanne, Jason, Maddi, Simon & Chris. Further details on the next race (This Sat, 24^th July) will be posted on the Youth Face Book Page soon. We will be keeping an eye on the conditions for Sat / Sun and will update you.
 
Planning times for SRC and Bronze courses for Sept-Oct 2021 School Holidays
SRC:  Monday 27th Sept to Saturday 2nd Oct (first week of school holidays)
Bronze:  Monday 4th Oct to Saturday 9th Oct.  (second week of school holidays)
 
More detailed timings will be available closer to the course dates.  Courses are filling fast so please register your interest with Jess ASAP to book your spot
 
Sorrento Beach training
The Beach coaches will be meeting after the school holidays to agree on the training program, so it will kick off soon.  If you are interested in attending, register your interest on the Sorrento Beachies or Sorrento SLSC  - Youth Development Facebook pages.
All beachies are more that welcome to attend the Tuesday & Thursday core and running training below in the interim.

24 Hour Row for Mental Health

On the 14th and 15th August 2021, Australian surf lifesavers across Australia will be taking on the challenge of rowing for 24 hours non-stop to raise money and awareness for Gotcha4Life. We will be doing this as well in our club gym!

New Rowers from 14 years and older are welcome to have a go at rowing and build our club up in the boat section as we are doing in other disciplines.
 
No experience is necessary as all training from beginners upwards will be given

Claim your Free Patrol Shirt

Members that have claimed their free patrol shirt, if you havent, log onto your lifesaving online account or email Jess on admin@sorrentoslsc.org.au your size and she will do it for you!
 
A directive has been given to club regarding patrol uniforms. Our major sponsors have bought a one-off patrol shirt for all patrol uniforms.
 
NO LONGER will old and out dated patrol tops be used. Thanks for your understanding!

If you have any new members in your family, please come down to the office and fill in the forms. You must do this to secure your spot.
