You are invited to join us for section night Tuesday July 20th 6pm at the Southern Cross 39 Abel Smith St Te Aro.
The section nights are an opportunity to meet other members, share, plan alpine adventures and be inspired by others.
Jeff Franks from Landsar will be sharing his experience to keep us safer in the mountains.
Wellington born & bred, keen scout and tramper from an early age. He completed his first Southern Crossing at the age of 11. He joined the Horowhenua Search and Rescue as a volunteer 15 years ago where he still is a Team Leader for that group. Jeff joined Land Search and Rescue New Zealand as an employee 10 months ago in the role of Group Support Officer for the bottom of the North Island, and he describes it as his dream job!
To finish Daniel from Bivouac will be showing off some of the new mountaineering gear.
