rarest Trifari Philippe - 1941 giant crab pin, from the 1941 series of enamel pieces centred on a large faceted stone... never seen or suspected double carnation pin, variant on the 1940 patented carnation, from the Rue de la Paix flower series, a pin conversion... rare Trifari Philippe 1939 figural, sultry Gypsy maiden with a tambourine... spectacular early 1960s Roger Jean Pierre pink topaz necklace, with new advert from Indianapolis in 1962, where the designer, normally resident in the Place des Vosges, was on one of his regular US tours ...
   
and four more fascinating vintage adverts, new this week... spectacular and fine Double winged Sterling bird of paradise pin and screwback earrings, now dated from a 1943 Minneapolis advert for a double bird pin from the same series - a series of which there are other, until now totally mysterious, examples on site (and in books)... charming Nettie Rosenstein Chinese lady pin, dated from a late 50s advert, which links the series to the mid 40s sterling Mandarin designs, seen here and in Brunialti... new patent, and new advert, for a 1947 Trifari Philippe flower bowknot, never here before... and from last week's update, patented Coro Sterling Love Lane pin, now has an advert, and a price...
   
superb sterling pieces, spanning the 1920s to the 40s... French hallmarked marcasite and hematite shield pendant or pin, from the 20s... gallery set openwork sterling and paste pin, with Chinese pavilion in a scene, Willow Pattern-esque, cushion cut ruby and emeralds suggesting the 30s... classic Trifari Sterling Philippe, table cut citrine and bowknot in superb condition, advertised in Sept 1942, patented only in February 1944, against the design pirates we presume... and more superb Nettie Rosenstein, sterling and spangled seashell pin clip from about 1946...
