The Bird opens in new location
The Bird on Hwy 12 in Rincon Valley had its soft opening this month. On their first weekend at their new location, Levi Lloyd played Saturday and The Humdinger Band played on Sunday. There were beer sales outside, where the band was set up and everything else inside. It was hot dancing on black pavement, but the music and the vibes were all good. Hopefully, they'll have more tables and chairs out back in the future.
This is also the new home for the Blues Defenders' Pro Jam, on it's new night - Tuesdays 5-9 pm.

Beer Baron's superior, but irregular music
Ann is booking music for Beer Baron again. It's a regular thing, but not at regular intervals. But that's where the calendar comes in handy. You can put Beer Baron in the filter bar under venues and hit submit to see all the upcoming gigs there. They are brunches and the occasional Monday night.

On the naughty list
Sonoma County Dance Beat has served notice to the owners of the local HopMonk franchise, and now to you, dear dancers, that it will not be listing any events at Twin Oaks Roadhouse. This is in direct response to the recent attack on several musicians. The venue will be listed again only if substantial security and safety measures are put in place, and left in place over a significant period of time. The safety of patrons and musicians should come before catering to aggressive regulars who create an unwelcoming atmosphere. This is not the Wild West.
