This is Joyce, our amazing volunteer who joined Julie in the Congo in March. She has a wonderful word of encouragement about her experience with the children and families of DRC.

Dear Friends

We are so excited to share this video with you - you may have heard in our Spring newsletter about how one of my volunteers who joined me on my March trip had broken her foot at the beginning of our journey. Of course, what the enemy meant for our destruction, God turned into miracle after miracle - including the fact that she finished out our trip and ministered to the families of DRC. I wanted to share with your her experience in her own words. Not only was her life changed forever, she, through the Holy Spirit ministered and changed the lives of so many.

Pray and let God show you how you can help as we move forward with expanding our feeding program, ministering to meet the medical needs of the families and helping create thriving communities that understand the love of God as we are His hands and feet.

What the enemy meant for evil....

God used to minister powerfully for the good of both Joyce and these mothers who are on their knees praying with her over their families. It was such a powerful and special time of ministry.

“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”
Luke 4:18-19

When we first came to this little village, this was the starvation belly that most of the children suffered with - these are due to parasites and deworming each child was one of the first things Julie and her team did when they started.

Even without running water or bathrooms, these teachers are doing an amazing job. They educate and minister spiritual truths!
