Time flies. Perhaps it's an inevitable sign of our times that the past several weeks have been a flurry of workshops, webinars, meetings and presentations. Below is a snapshot of our recent activities and alerts of project where we could do with your expertise and ongoing support.

Media, Technology & Education in a Post-Truth Society

July marked the publication of 'Media, Technology and Education in a Post-Truth Society', which has been 18 months in the making. The genesis of the book - a compilation of essays edited by 3CL Executive Director Dr Grech - was the 3CL International Conference in October 2019. However, its ramifications remain very current in 2021 - and probably more so because of the pandemic. The book is available on all major online bookstores. DEL4ALL Horizon 2020 Updates

What makes for a resilient digital learning ecosystem,
fit for purpose post-pandemic?

We've launched a new survey to investigate the most important elements required to develop an effective, sustainable, equitable, efficient, and substantive digital learning ecosystem. We'd welcome your contribution to this important research. You can participate by accessing this link.

3CL at OSCE Expert Meeting on Disinformation and Media Self-regulation

On 25th June 2021, Dr Grech joined an expert panel convened by the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) on disinformation and self-regulation in the digital society. Dr Grech's presentation called for a change in the narrative and processes on the search for accurate and fact-based information.

Africa-Europe Science & Innovation Summit

On 17th June 2021, Dr Grech was a panelist at the Africa-Europe Science and Innovation Summit organised by AERAP Science. Dr Grech's paper was called 'Open Education Systems (and other Elephants in the Room)'.

3CL Foundation in Virtual Reality in Education Project

The 3CL Foundation is a partner in a new European Project, VRTeacher. The consortium will develop virtual reality tools for teacher education. The project kicked off in June 2021.
