Zone 7 Kids Zone welcomes you back to school!

As you prepare to get back into the classroom, we want to make sure you know our Zone 7 Water Schools’ Program is here for you. Students of all ages, kindergarten through high school, can learn about the vital role water plays in our community, economy and environment, teaching them to become water champions.
As educators in our service area, you can take advantage of our free standards-based lessons. We have program styles to meet your needs, offered in virtual, hybrid or in-person formats. Fill out this Google form to claim your spot on our schedule for the coming school year. Choose what style you would like our presentations, virtual, hybrid, or in-person, and fill out this Google form to get your class(es) on the schedule. Then head over to our website and choose your grade level to gain access to lessons. All lessons are aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards for K-12 content and created by certified educators!
Signing up through our Google form notifies our staff that you’re utilizing our curriculum and gives you the opportunity to receive additional technical support, have worksheets dropped off at your school if needed and will also notify us to drop off a free gift for both you and your students!

2021 / 2022 Program Launch
Thanks to the feedback from teachers who participated in our new virtual program last year, we now know how we can offer more flexibility to better serve you and your students.
That’s why we’ve launched our Kid Zone program in three different formats. Now, teachers can take advantage of the free Zone 7 Water Lessons and presentations virtually, in a hybrid format or in-person.

Virtual
All our lessons can be accessed and taught virtually! When choosing this option, you will receive additional materials for lessons. You choose when to teach the lesson based on your availability. Our lessons are built in sections so you can assign parts and teach others directly. Kid Zone educators are not available with this option.

Hybrid
This new option will still be virtual, but a Kid Zone educator will live-stream to the class at a predetermined time. The rest of the sections of the lesson can be assigned based on your class's schedule. This option gives teachers flexibility and offers a fun interactive presentation with our team.

In-Person
As of right now, Zone 7 is expecting to offer in-person lessons, like past presentations given before COVID-19. Teachers can sign up for a presentation date and our Kid Zone educators will show up and handle the activity and presentation! All of our educators are fully vaccinated and have their masks at the ready.

As the Tri-Valley area continues to battle a dry year, we are now asking customers to do a little more and voluntarily reduce their water use by 15 percent.
