The seasons are all out of whack.
So how about that week of chilly rain, huh? Nice week of summer we had there. On top of that, the Halloween and Christmas fabrics are arriving, so my seasons are all mixed up.
Now that things are slowed down for the summer, I am catching up a bit, but I slowed down too. Rest is important, especially for creative pursuits. We're just getting by however we can, collectively, and that's okay.
For me, I've had the chance to go through my bins and bags of old projects, get scared at the volume, and culled viciously. The bed sized quilt with a handful of teeny tiny blocks completed? Now a wall hanging. The project of large pineapple blocks that went wonky by #4? Now a runner.
But then I found some smaller projects, things to ease into and puzzle over (but not too much) and the creative peace can be found at last. Just ... slower. ;)
I don't know where to put all this.
Like, literally, I do not know where to put all this fabric. New people have shown up with the travel restrictions eased, and they've all said they are amazed how much fabric we've crammed in a small space.
But wait! There's more!
I have three full boxes in the hall! They are in the sales system and finally on the website, so if you are in store and want to look, i can easily slide the box down the hall for you.
Like I said above - we're all just getting by any way we can.
