Start gathering up for the August 28th Clean Up!

Adopt-A-Street is a volunteer program in KCMO to promote litter and trash-free streets and blocks. All streets in Marlborough are available for adoption by groups, families, and organizations that want to beautify and positively impact our neighborhood. Take pride in your neighborhood and community. Honor a loved one, volunteer with your organization, or simply help out the environment by doing your part!

If you register your adopted street and clean it of litter and trash a minimum of 3 times per year for a minimum of 2 years, KC Crime Stoppers will place a sign recognizing your "adoption" on your street as did the family of LaVonttee D. Wedlow on 80th Street.   Visit https://www.kc-crime.org/adopt-a-street to register.

Specially marked blue trash bags are available at no charge for your clean-ups from the Marlborough Community Coalition or KC Crime Stoppers. The blue bags will be picked up on your normal trash day without counting against your 2 bag per week limit. Call or email the Coalition several days in advance of the day you will clean up your street to set a time to pick up your blue bags at the Catalyst Center, 1809 E 80th.  816.866.6279 or info@wearemarlborough.org
RECOGNITION OF COALITION BOARD SERVICE
The Board of Directors is the governing body of a nonprofit. The Coalition’s Board of Directors ensures proper oversight and enables the organization to make consistent progress toward its mission. Coalition Board members serve a 3-year term. The term of most board members begins and ends in the spring of each year. The service of others begins and ends throughout the year. Per the Coalition’s by-laws, the size of the board can vary from 3 to 15.

We want to recognize the service of the following board members whose term was completed over the past two years. We appreciate all that they contributed to the leadership of the Coalition and to the benefit of our nearly 10,000 neighbors who live in Marlborough. Thank you !!
