A Great Time to Celebrate!

There's so much going on this summer that it's hard to keep track - what a welcome change from last year! This summer, we're all anxiously awaiting for Team USA to shine in Tokyo as final selections are being made to the Paralympic Team. We look forward to the opportunity to watch much more coverage of the Games this year than ever before.

As we celebrate the anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act this month, we take a moment to reflect on its importance -- how far we've come with regard to disability rights and equality and how far we unfortunately still have to go. With the observance of Disability Pride Month, it's important to think about how you define disability pride. We encourage you to read this month's blog post, "Disability Pride Then and Now," that highlights the progress we've made and efforts that we continue to push forward today.

Scroll down for a preview of the LABS 2021 sessions and speakers! We're incredibly excited about this year's line-up. Keep an eye out as we open LABS 2021 registration in August.

This month's Industry RoundUP includes so many amazing highlights from around our community. We hope you find time to check out a couple really great webinars featuring retired and current Paralympians. You'll also want to read The Hill Op-ed related to collegiate sport and disabled athletes.

Finally, we are putting the finishing touches on our new branding for All In Sport Consulting and Adapted Sport LABS. Next month, we'll unveil our new logo, websites, and more. Can't wait for you to see our new look!

Disability Pride Month

July is Disability Pride Month, marking the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act being signed into law in July 1990. It's a great time to look back, take stock on where we've been as a community, the strides we've made, and where we still have work to do. This month's blog post, "Disability Pride Then and Now," does just that...we take a look back nearly 50 years and get to know one of today's young disabled advocates who will undoubtedly continue to move the community forward for many years to come.

Industry RoundUP

So much going on within the movement this month and so much to share. Take a look:
  • Sports Illustrated Cover Stars: Representation matters! Congratulations to Paralympians Chuck Aoki, Jessica Long, and David Brown for the amazing Sports Illustrated cover. Let's hope this is one of many covers to come highlighting disabled athletes for the incredible athletes that they are.
  • The Hill: Check out this great Op-Ed in The Hill focused on disability sport at the collegiate level
  • Thank You Google: For highlighting the founder of the Paralympic movement Sir Ludwig Guttmann as a Google Doodle on what would've been his 122nd birthday. His leadership and legacy continues to influence and positively impact so many today.
  • Disability and Mainstream Products: Dove Kids Care bottle highlights a child with a disability playing basketball.
  • Outstanding Webinars: We attended a couple noteworthy webinars the past few weeks and thought you might want to watch.
There are so many great things happening within the adapted sport movement. Please let us know the powerful initiatives you are championing to advance and expand the movement. Please send us details so we can highlight your efforts in an upcoming Industry RoundUP.
