Putting Down New Roots

We've done some growing since you last heard from us. We built new beds at our Melbourne Food Hub Farm in Alphington and expanded our delivery zone for our Grow / Source / Eat produce parcels!

Stay Warm and Eat Your Veggies

In case you missed it, we're pleased to announce that we're offering free (!) home delivery of our Grow / Source / Eat parcels until the end of winter.

That means subscribers in select suburbs can get ethically grown, farm-fresh fruit and veg brought straight to their doors.

Don't see your suburb on our list? Get in touch with our Producer Liaison Jess to inquire.

New Beds at the Melbourne Food Hub Farm

Earlier this month, our team measured, shovelled, and mulched our way to seven new growing beds at our urban farm in Alphington! Led by our resident farmer Clare, these beds will help us produce healthy, fresh, and super-local veg in a way that's ethical and sustainable.

The Alphington farm, formerly a contaminated site, has come a long way: We've made use of raised beds, organic growing material and fertiliser, natural pest management, and rotating crops to turn it into a place for growing nutritious, delicious food.

A big thank you to Darebin City Council, whose support made this growth possible.

How to Feed a City: A Public Series

We strongly believe in being generous with sharing knowledge and exchanging ideas.

Beginning in August, we're launching a lecture series that will revolve around improving public health and wellbeing, as well as activating eaters, businesses, and policymakers to better our food system in ways big and small.

We're kicking this off next week with a casual networking session entitled How to Feed a City: Urban Agriculture and Urban Food Accessibility. We'll be joined by Julia Laidlaw of Sporadical City Mushrooms, Conor Hickey and Simeon Ash of Collingwood Children's Farm, and Dr. Charlie Brennan of Garden Juju Collective. While we're currently at capacity for this event, we look forward to seeing you at future lectures!
