COMPLETION OF THE FIRST STAGE
OF THE PROJECT

The Step Up project has already finalised what we consider to be its first phase. All the consortium partners have successfully organized 12 focus groups in total (2 per partner).

In these focus groups, partners had the opportunity to meet representatives of various organizations and gather a good deal of good practice. All of them refer to artistic and cultural activities that seek to develop and improve the skills of adults (members of vulnerable groups), thus contributing to the promotion of their social inclusion.

WORKSHOP IN MADRID

After the organization of the focus groups, Espacio Rojo organized on 28-29 June 2021 a workshop in Madrid, Spain (specifically in Link Space).

The objective of this workshop was to exchange experiences and good practices among the partners of the Step Up network. For this, each partner presented to the other partners 3 good practices, consisting of good practices implemented by the partner itself or collected through the focus groups.

In addition to this, it is noted that this was the first time, since the project began, that the partners were able to exchange, discuss and reflect in person. An opportunity that, now, we can assure has been really positive, and that we consider as an impulse to continue working for achieving our objectives..

MOVING TO THE NEXT STAGE

Following the organization of the workshop, Step Up continues with one of the most important activities of the project. After this time of research and exchange, it is time to take action. And the steps will take us on a path of exploration.

The next stage will be the pilot implementation of selected good practices. Each partner will select one good practice of cultural and artistic activity and pilot it in their country. The activity will target a group of adults (members of vulnerable groups), with the aim to promote their social inclusion.

In this way, thanks to Step Up, we will develop 6 pilot experiences, one in each country, between July 2021 and April 2022. These experiences will allow us to continue expanding the network and the toolbox of good practices.
