Babylonia 2/2021 - Kinder mit besonderen Bedürfnissen
This issue of Babylonia presents an overview of special needs children’s profiles as well as the diversity of contexts in which these children evolve. The articles make it possible to grasp the complexity of different situations of vulnerability: on the one hand, the specificity of the children's profiles requires adapted care both in school and in logopedic care, and on the other hand, this constant adaptation to the child poses real challenges to schools and its various care services.

Nous commençons par la question du diagnostic des troubles du langage chez les enfants plurilingues avec plusieurs articles encourageant la prise en compte de la variation linguistique et des différences de parcours individuels (Richard Sparks, Agnès Witko, Isabelle Duguine & Barbara Köpcke, Hélène Delage & Julie Franck, Sabrina Turker, Dai Pu & Kirrie Ballard).
Next, the articles focus on the support that can be provided within the classroom for children with language impairments, the challenges that inclusive education can present to teachers, and the strategies for accommodating individual differences (Noémie Mathivat & Stéphanie de Meyer, François Gremion & Agnès Brahier, Slavka Pogranova, Eva Waltermann & Anne-Claire Perrin, Cordula Löffler & Nadja Wulff, Christoph Suter).
Enfin, dans une troisième section, nous nous intéressons plus particulièrement à l’enseignement/apprentissage des langues étrangères chez les enfants ayant des troubles du langage dans la langue de scolarisation: ceux-ci sont-ils désavantagés pour l’apprentissage des langues étrangères? Quelles pistes pédagogiques peuvent être utiles pour les aider à développer leur répertoire plurilingue? (Raphael Berthele, Nathalie Dherbey Chapuis, Barbara Rindlisbacher, Viviane Monney).

Babylonia 3/2021 - La rappresentazione delle donne: lingua, comunicazione, didattica
Nel 2021 ricorre un anniversario capitale in Svizzera: i 50 anni del diritto di voto e di eleggibilità delle donne a livello federale. In occasione della ricorrenza di questo traguardo storico – e continuando la linea delle tematiche sociali trattate in questo numero e nel precedente – il numero 3/2021 di Babylonia ha chiamato autrici e autori a riflettere su una questione parallela a quella della rappresentazione delle donne a livello politico: quella della loro rappresentazione nella lingua, nella comunicazione e nella didattica. Una riflessione su questa tematica è fondamentale perché la parità tra uomo e donna si attua anche nel nostro modo di comunicare e di insegnare.
Diversi contributi analizzano la rappresentazione delle donne nei manuali di insegnamento delle lingue seconde, nelle pratiche didattiche e nei media (tradizionali e social media): quali immagini sono veicolate, quale attenzione è posta al linguaggio inclusivo? Altri contributi prendono in considerazione le attività in classe, presentano materiali e fanno proposte didattiche per un insegnamento inclusivo ed egualitario.
