Meet our New Production Manager Larry Stanley

Our newest member as of July 12, 2021 is Mr. Larry Stanley. Larry is bringing to our team an additional 45 years of experience in the horticultural industry. As one of the founders of the famed Stanley & Sons Nursery, he brings the knowledge of having processed over 3,000 varieties of conifers and 425 varieties of Japanese Maples in his lifetime.

     As a production manager at the nursery, he will be over seeing plant selection, propagation, production, and marketing.
     His own personal focus in conifers is now directed towards miniature cultivars.
    Visiting collectors abroad and meeting ‘Broomers’, or as he affectionately calls them, ‘ConeHeads’, are some of his favorite pastimes.  A bonus contribution of Mr. Stanley's experience is his endless tales of adventure over many years.

‘Silberspitz’ is an upright, narrow Atlas Cedar with creamy white tips. These stand out against its blue-green older branches. Young trees in pots are staked when grown in containers, but grows straight all on its own when planted in the ground.

A very cold hardy pine in a round, compact form. Needles are dark green and short and point upwards on its branches. A great conifer for small spaces with annual growth of only 1-2 inches a year.
