Marian + Quinn Bonnell + Matt Comeau

Artists Marian, Quinn Bonnell and Matt Comeau collaborated to perform The Ballad of Crowfoot by Willie Dunn, a Mi'kmaq songwriter who composed this song in 1968. Dylan Ward of Marian said: "I felt compelled to do something after the first discoveries of unmarked graves at residential schools; to use to my voice, and put what I was feeling into something. It's hard to articulate how tragic this all is, how frustrating the nation to nation relations are, and how this complexity is overwhelming. This song captures all that."   +++ info >

We were introduced to the Miramichi-based artist through his unconventional Christmas album, Peppermints, and while that might seem like an odd jumping-off point, we’re learning that strong left turns is exactly what we should expect from Tucker."
