Hello, friends! By the end of the week, I was tired and cranky. Saturday afternoon I decided that I needed to reset myself and figured a hike would be the way to do that. So I packed up some water, a camera, and my hiking boots. I set out on a hike of the Wabash Heritage Trail. The trail is allegedly 13 miles, and someday I'd like to be able to do to the whole thing (since it doesn't loop, that's a 26-mile hike). It was warm and humid, so I mostly had the trail to myself.
What I didn't have is bug spray. I left that at home. Big mistake. I have dozens of bug bites across my back and shoulders and on my arms. That's even with the several mosquitoes that I was able to successfully swat. But I slept deeply last night. I'm not sure I've quite achieved a reset, but it's time for a new week so I guess it doesn't matter. I'll have to move forward as I am.
