Education- Chainsaw Course
SNB will be hosting a 2 day Chainsaw Course for Woodlot Owners in our SNB Board Area. Course Instructor will be Rod Cumberland.
The course will take place at Elmhurst Outdoors, 65 Ganong Rd, Erbs Cove, NB., next weekend July 24-25 and/or the weekend of August 28-29.
With the short notice for next weekend's course, we ask all woodlot owners who are interested to contact Travis Noftell (506) 432-3662 by Tuesday July 20th if you would like to participate in next weekend's course. The level of interest will determine whether we host next week's course.

Conservation
Back in the fall of 2019, Minister of Natural Resources and Energy Development, Mike Holland announced that the province of New Brunswick was going to double the amount of protected land in the province.
This initiative, to increase the amount of protected land in the province has been proposed by successive governments, going as far back as 2012, during the David Alward tenure.
Under the Higgs banner, Minister Holland has seemed to advance this file further than any of his predecessors.
Just this week, the department announced they have identified another 107,000 hectares of Candidate Conserved Areas located on NB crown land.
The public is welcomed to submit comment on the candidate areas, by visiting the interactive map found here.
