CYCLING IN HAMILTON
Bike Month 2021

2021 was the second year we weren't able to celebrate Bike Month in-person. Regardless, it didn't stop our community from getting out on our bikes! With 653 registrants, we almost doubled what we reached last year. We want to thank all the individuals and community partners for participating / hosting various activities including New Hope Community Bikes' Instagram Scavenger Hunt, Everyone Rides' Neighbourhood Bike Relay, Green Venture's Cycling in the City and McMaster's Cycling Research Forum (just to name a few)!

We had more than thirty-five entries for our social media activities. Check out some of the 'Ride and Seek' and 'Submit Your Selfie' captures below:
Hope to see everyone back together in 2022!

Effective Friday, June 25, 2021, cyclists will be able to connect to the Aldershot GO Station free of charge by boarding the bus at Mountain Climber designated stops along HSR route 18 – Waterdown.

Active Transportation Corridor:
The 5 Schools Route

Subaita Refaaf, a student at McMaster, focused this class project on active travel. In partnership with Dundas Rides, the project's primary objective is to connect 5 Dundas schools via the Hamilton-Brantford Rail Trail. Refaaf believes the trail has the potential to serve as a pathway connecting all five schools, acting as an active transportation corridor/ cycling super highway.
