THE CHOSEN

The Chosen is a TV show retelling the story of Jesus and his followers.  In May we watched episode 1.  Check out our schedule below of when we'll be watching episodes from the rest of season 1 of The Chosen.   While you should be able to follow each episode without seeing the one before, it would be helpful for you to catch up.  If you missed Episodes 1and 2 you can watch it free at https://watch.angelstudios.com/thechosen
Next Showing:
On July 11 we invite you to pack a lunch, stay after worship for some fellowship while we eat, and then we'll show the episode at 12:30pm.
Schedule:
July 11 - Episode 3 (Jesus Loves the Little Children)
July 25 - Episode 4 (The Rock on Which It is Built)
Aug 8 - Episode 5 (The Wedding Gift)
Aug 22 - Episode 6 (Indescribable Compassion)
Sep 12 - Episode 7 (Invitations)
Sep 26 - Episode 8 (I Am He)

CHURCH MEAL- JULY 25th Following Worship

When our Ministry Team met last month, we discerned that many are feeling burnt out, disconnected, and longing to rebuild those bonds of fellowship that have been stretched over the last year.  For the next few months we will be hosting a Church Meal after worship on 4th Sundays.  The church will provide meats, drinks, paper products,  you're invited to bring a side dish to share if you're able, or just come to eat and fellowship. Our first meal will take place on July 25th right after worship.  We hope to see you there!

FOOD PANTRY- VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
August is the month that our church is responsible for packing and distributing food at West Rockingham Food Pantry.  Please mark your calendar for
Tuesday Aug. 24 at 6pm (7 people needed)
and
Thursday Aug. 26 at 3:00pm until 6:00pm (9 or 10 people needed).
The process has been streamlined to make our work easier.  The families now drive their car thru the parking lot so we now meet them at the top of the hill. This makes it so much easier for our workers and families.  We will also provide devotionals for each family and need to furnish money for 70 cartons of eggs (donations appreciated).
Reply to:  Jack Martin (540) 820-5225  or  Becky Martin (540) 820-2381.

PRAYER GROUP
Prayer group will meet  at 6:30pm on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays  of each month. Whether you are new to prayer or an experienced pray-er  you're invited to come pray with us!

MODIFIED CHOIR PRACTICE
As we ease back to more normalcy we invite our singers to help us with music Sundays.  Each week we’ll practice Wednesdays at 7pm.  Whether you've been a choir member in the past or not please join us.

UPDATES & INFO

COVID GUIDANCE FOR WORSHIP
Due to recent changes in COVID guidance from the government and the Annual Conference,  we will be worshipping inside for the foreseeable future (and we will be singing indoors).   Masks are recommended for everyone (especially if you have not been vaccinated), but we will remove the mask requirement for worship and church events.   Drive-In and Online will still be available.  As always, please check your health before you come, and maintain 6ft distance from others.

(Note:  We know that everyone is at a different place when it comes to mask-wearing, vaccinations, etc.  During this time we ask that we show the love of  Christ by respecting others who have different opinions, levels of comfort, or health concerns.  We want all to be safe and feel welcomed at Clover Hill as we cut back some of these COVID restrictions.   Please contact Pastor Sarah if you have questions or concerns or ideas for how we can help all to feel that they have a place here with us. )

BUIDLING FUND
