Congratulations to Paul and Amanda Lee for their two years of service in the Catholic community
throughout Iowa. Paul just concluded his service as state deputy of the KCs. It is really cool and historic to have someone from St. Stephen the Witness serve in this role. On Monday, Paul begins full-time a new chapter in his life, as director of our student center. O happy day!

There is daily Mass next week only on Monday at noon. I have vocation ministry commitments most of the week. This coming Sunday, please welcome back Fr. Solomon Farinto for Reconciliation and Mass. I will be doing an appeal at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Hiawatha. The next week, on July 18 we welcome home our chaplain emeritus, Fr. Ken Glaser.

All the best,
Fr. Jon

Catholic Sisters from 24 congregations in four states have launched a yearlong, live-streamed conversation series on social justice issues. Titled “Exploring Intersections: Catholic Sisters on Racism, Migration and Climate,” the series focuses on a different social issue in a thought-provoking and engaging conversation each month. The July episode focuses on human trafficking and will air live on Zoom at 3 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, July 14.  Three panelists, including a Catholic Sister, will offer avenues of action along with powerful personal experiences in unlocking the chains of human trafficking.  Register for this event at https://www.exploringintersections.org.  All episodes are recorded and available on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/exploringintersections.  “Exploring Intersections” is a project of Region X of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR).
