Fresh. Local. TOGETHER.

                       Here Come the Tomatoes!
7.8.21
Dear Market Friends and Fans,

Look for juicy tomatoes at the Bechdolt Orchards stand tomorrow and for the months ahead! Those coveted juicy jewels of summer are ready to be made into luscious tomato sandwiches or added to crisp salads. Sure, down the line you might consider cooking them into a rich sauce, but now’s the time to celebrate tomatoes straight from the vine, sweet and delicious.

If tomatoes aren’t your thing, there are plenty of other farm-fresh delights: peaches, blueberries, apricots, plums, cucumbers, and more. You’ll find everything from apples to zucchini at the market as the season progresses.

We’re happy to have The Flour Shop back this week after their vacation. We missed those tasty tarts and amazing cruffins! Speaking of missing, we won’t see “Peanut Butter Joe” this week, as he takes his vacation. And our kiffle-makers, Stehly’s, are having trouble with the AC in their bakery, so they will be absent until repairs can be made. Fingers crossed it’s not too long!

Stay tuned for some new vendors joining the market in the coming weeks--on the 15th we’ll welcome a dairy that sells sheep’s milk yogurt and cheeses! And the BlendLife truck is looking to return to the market soon, too--think delicious smoothies and avocado toasts!

The weather pattern may be a bit challenging, but our vendors will be there to bring you fresh, wholesome foods and other goodies, rain or shine. Grab your reusable shopping bag*, bring a friend (and an appetite), and meet us at the market! Catch the music of The Wonton Soups and enjoy a bite to eat. If you have ideas to share or comments or questions about the Bethlehem Farmers' Market, feel free to drop us a line!

*Need a reusable shopping bag to carry your farmers market purchases? Stop by the market welcome table and pick up a brand new purple bag, courtesy of our market sponsor, RCN!
