The Mix pop up - an opportunity for us all to be "Together"

Sunday 5 September from 10.00am at Burleigh Hill Farm
We'll start the day together with a moment of worship and time to be in God's presence, moving onto a day full of activities suitable for all ages and abilities around the theme of "Together". Craig has come up with a fantastic menu for the day and we will share this "together" at lunch time.

We are asking you to book in as soon as possible so we know how many we are catering for.  If later you find that you have to drop out, just let us know and you can request a refund. Please book by emailing Hayley Beckett or ringing the office (458565). Cost £5 per individual, £10 per family; payable by BACS to Godmanchester Baptist Church, 40 52 40, 00023064 with the ref TM21 followed by your surname.

We look forward to seeing you all there and being "Together"
We have a Tesco Summer Collection from today (Thursday 15 July) to Saturday 17 July, from 9.00am - 5.00pm. If you can help please contact Phil Jones (phil.jones@gbcfoodbank.org.uk or 07850 506968)  or Joe George (joe.george@gbcfoodbank.org.uk or 01480 277239).

Grace Fellowship, Little Stukeley
During July there will be no repeat broadcasts of the Sunday services at Grace Fellowship.  Each Sunday in August the GBC morning service will be shown at Grace Fellowship at the same time as it is broadcast on YouTube (10.30am). This will give people the opportunity to meet with others and watch the services "live" together. Drinks will be available following the services.
Our “Room to Reflect” is open on Fridays between 9.00am and 1.00pm.
We have changed the theme for the summer. It is “Yield” based on the P.R.A.Y. acronym in the book ‘How to Pray’ by Pete Greig.
1 Kings 19:10-13 Elijah waited patiently for the presence of God. Have you made space for God recently? Are you still expecting him to show up as he has in the past? Come and wait patiently and attentively for God’s presence and voice in the reflection room. This is a recent prayer from Lectio 365:
God, I confess that I am a creature of habit and I want You to speak and move in predictable ways. I surrender my attachment to what is familiar. I am hungry for an encounter with you. I yield my expectations and wait patiently for your presence – however you want to meet with me.
Amen
You can book to come at other times if you cannot make it on Fridays – please email the church office or ring 458565.
Birthdays coming up in the next few weeks are as follows (addresses in Blue Pages):
22 July - James Ambler | 31 July - Peter Johnson & Kayleigh Timmis
3 August - Ruth Blakey | 16 August Jenny Thompson

If you would like the church to celebrate your birthday, please email birthdays@godmanchesterbaptist.org with your birthday and address (if it isn’t in the Blue Pages). Unless you wish to opt out, your birthday (minus the year!) will also go in the weekly church news so others can help you celebrate too.

The Littlefoot Toy Library is open Wednesday mornings between 9.00am - 10.00am during term time - closing for the summer this Wednesday (21 July).
Lots of toys available to borrow for all pre-school ages. To find out more or to book a pick up/return slot, find the Littlefoot Facebook page and join the group.
