It's been a while since the last FFFD newsletter and much has happened since then. I've been on a huge learning curve with Logic Pro X music software and also Final Cut Pro film editing software. My Facebook livestreams have not been happening but I will be starting them again soon.
This is Homer. He's been my friend and companion and member of the family for 17 years. He passed away in June. R.I.P Homer. Very sadly missed.
WHAT I HAVE BEEN PRACTICING RECENTLY
Tommy Igoe's GROOVE ESSENTIALS. There is so much information in this book and fabulous play along tracks covering a number of styles from Rock, Blues, Jazz, Reggae and a whole lot more. It's about £14 on amazon and worth every penny .

SONGS FOR SWINGIN' LOVERS. Classic Sinatra! Impeccable drumming from Alvin Stoller and Irv Cottler. Tasteful and understated but swingin' like crazy .

Facebook Livestreams. Some Thursday's at 6pm UK time I do a live show on Facebook.
I haven’t done any recently but if you go to my page on Facebook and sign up for notifications then that will let you know when the next one is happening .During the livestream I'll be playing songs, looking at different styles of music and generally just having a bit of fun and a hangout with friends from around the world. Not just for drummers. Bring your own drinks. No social distancing necessary.
If you aren't on Facebook then I put all my livestreams and more on to my YouTube channel. Just search Chris Joyce Drums on YouTube and it should come up.
