The CDE School Auditing Office has updated the At-Risk Count Audit Resource Guide to include important items for school year 2021-22. The guide contains everything districts need to know about the annual CDE October Count and the auditing surrounding it. Notable changes for this school year include the addition of the reduced-price category to be included in the count (page 2) and the clarification that only districts submitting data for Pandemic-Electronic Benefits Transfer eligibility are able to collect and process applications; all other districts are able to collect Family Economic Data Survey (FEDS) Forms (p. 9). Some reimbursement payments for school meal programs have been delayed. CDE’s accounting team is working through processing the payments. We appreciate your patience as we work through the large volume of claims.
